I think this is an interesting example of autonomously-concatenating notions bubbling up from the 'cognitive digesters' we call our brains or our minds. Here we see how they follow on from one another and seem perfectly lucid as they participate in linked  conscious episodes.

The fact that this unfortunate aide was helped to see that her comments were offensive or over-wrought can clearly be traced to  the furore they caused.

Why not think about the source of her  original comments in ways that do not involve or depend upon intemperate choices?
